CHIFFON SCRAPS:
Don't throw away your scraps after you are finished making anything with your chiffon. Chiffon make the most awesome pressing cloth. It allows heat to penetrate into your fabric, you can see exactly what you pressing, makes the greatest creases, and prevent your iron from putting down a shine on whatever your pressing. The chiffon is so light that when your done pressing all you need to do is put a pin through it and pin it to your ironing board and it's always right there at your finger tips

PROFESSIONAL DARTS:
There are two professional ways to create beautiful darts.
1. Slash & press: Make a knot with the threads at the end of the dart. Make a slit down the middle being very careful not to cut right to the tip. Press dart open. To prevent raveling over cast the edges.
2. Lay a piece of matching color scrap over the tip of the dart. Beginning sewing at the wides part and once you reach the tip of the dart continue sewing for about 1/2 inch on to the scrap. Cut scrap leaving about 1/8 inch of the scrap on the fabric. Turn seam down and press. This technique will prevent puckering at the tip of the dart and strengthen the dart.
